Description

Three-Grade Progression for All Defect Severities

Rather than forcing users to choose between incompatible products, Revitalise System V2 provides a logical three-step progression that adapts to actual paint condition. The orange restoring compound handles heavy oxidation and deeper scratches, the yellow polishing compound addresses moderate defects, and the red refining compound delivers final gloss enhancement—users follow the appropriate progression based on their specific paint condition rather than guessing at product selection.

Colour-Coding for Elimination of Guesswork

Colour-coding extends beyond aesthetic appeal—it creates a visual system that prevents mistakes. Orange pads and orange compound work together; yellow pads with yellow compound; red pads with red compound. This visual matching eliminates the risk of mixing incompatible products or selecting the wrong grade for a particular correction stage.

Filler-Free Correction Philosophy

Some polishing systems use optical fillers and silicone compounds that temporarily mask defects without genuinely removing them. Revitalise compounds contain no fillers or waxes, meaning all correction work is genuine defect removal. This approach is essential for vehicles requiring ceramic coating application—fillers and waxes prevent coating adhesion and durability.

Engineered for Dual-Action Machine Polishers

Dual-action polishers operate at lower speeds and pressures than rotary machines, requiring formulations engineered specifically for their motion and power delivery. Revitalise compounds and pads are developed to work optimally with DPX and MPX dual-action machines, ensuring predictable, consistent results across different user skill levels.

Comprehensive Kit for Complete Workflows

Beyond compounds and pads, the kit includes Pad Prime to prepare pads before use, masking tape to protect trim and glass, a pad cleaning brush for mid-work pad maintenance, and work cloths for buffing and inspection. This comprehensive approach eliminates the need for additional purchases, allowing users to complete full correction work with a single kit.

Preparation for Protective Coating Application

The filler-free formulation ensures corrected paint is optimally clean and free of residues that would interfere with ceramic coating bonding. Users can progress from Revitalise correction directly to coating application without intermediate cleaning or priming steps.

More Information

Application Instructions

  1. Assess paint condition and select appropriate starting grade. Light oxidation or minimal swirl marks may start with yellow compound; heavy oxidation or deeper scratches require orange compound.
  2. Prepare the vehicle. Wash and dry thoroughly, then mask off trim, glass, and sensitive areas using the included masking tape.
  3. Apply Pad Prime to the selected foam pad. Use the included Pad Prime to prepare the pad, ensuring even product distribution before compound application.
  4. Apply compound to the pad. Dispense a small amount of the appropriate-grade compound onto the foam pad—avoid over-saturation.
  5. Spread compound across a section. Using the dual-action machine polisher at low speed, spread the compound evenly across 2–3 square feet without applying downward pressure.
  6. Increase speed and apply moderate pressure. Once compound is spread, increase machine speed to medium setting and apply gentle downward pressure whilst working the section.
  7. Work until defects diminish and the finish becomes glossy. Continue polishing until scratches or oxidation disappear and the compound residue turns clear, indicating the cutting action is complete.
  8. Wipe clean with a work cloth. Remove excess compound residue to inspect the corrected surface.
  9. Clean the pad between sections. Use the included pad cleaning brush to remove trapped compound and residue, ensuring consistent performance across all work areas.
  10. Assess results and progress to the next grade if needed. If defects remain after the first grade, proceed to the next grade using the same method. If results are satisfactory, progress to the next finer grade for refinement.
  11. Follow the three-step progression. Work through orange (restoration), then yellow (polishing), then red (refinement) in sequence for optimal results.
  12. Final inspection. Once refinement is complete, wipe the entire vehicle and inspect in bright light to confirm satisfactory results.
  13. Prepare for protection application. Once correction is complete and fully cleaned, apply ceramic coating or other protective products according to their specific instructions.

FAQs

Can I use these compounds for hand application, or do they require a machine polisher?

These compounds are engineered for machine polishing workflows. Whilst manual hand application is theoretically possible, the formulation and effectiveness are optimised for dual-action machine polisher use.

What's the difference between the three compound grades, and how do I know which to start with?

The orange compound (Restore) is coarse and handles heavy oxidation and deep scratches. Yellow (Polish) addresses moderate defects. Red (Refine) delivers final gloss enhancement. Start with the coarsest grade needed for your paint condition—you can always progress to finer grades, but starting too fine wastes time without achieving full correction.

Do I need to apply wax or sealant after using Revitalise compounds?

The corrected paint is ready for ceramic coating application immediately. If not using coating, apply wax or sealant according to your preferred protection method—the filler-free compounds don't leave residue that would prevent protection bonding.

Can I use these compounds on matte or satin paint finishes?

Revitalise compounds are formulated for gloss finishes. Matte and satin paints require specialised correction approaches. Test on an inconspicuous area if application to specialty finishes is necessary.
