Description

Instant Grab Technology

Ambersil QS 900 is a specialist quick-stick adhesive formulated for applications where immediate bonding is critical. This high-tack spray adhesive provides an instant "grab", allowing users to exert pressure on the bond or move the workpiece without the risk of slippage before full cure strength is achieved. Its fast-acting nature makes it an essential tool for high-paced production environments and onsite installations where time-efficiency is a primary requirement.

Non-Chlorinated Safety Profile

In alignment with modern health and safety standards, QS 900 is completely free from Methylene Chloride and other chlorinated solvents. This formulation reduces the chemical risks associated with traditional contact adhesives, providing a safer working environment for technicians in the flooring, carpet fitting, and furniture manufacturing industries. Despite the absence of chlorinated solvents, the adhesive maintains a high-strength, permanent bond across various materials.

Specialist Flooring and Upholstery Applications

While versatile enough for many industrial uses, this adhesive is specifically engineered to meet the rigorous demands of the carpeting and flooring trades. It is highly effective for bonding carpets, underlays, and foam, as well as cork and fabrics. Its ability to adhere to a wide variety of surfaces - including wood, paper, and cardboard - makes it a multipurpose solution for upholstery and general assembly tasks.

Efficient Material Delivery

The aerosol delivery system is designed for a discharge rate of 1.2 g/sec at a pressure of 4 Bar, ensuring a consistent and fine coating. Because of its high-tack properties, only a light film is required to achieve an instant bond, making the product highly economical in use,. The styrene butadiene rubber polymer base ensures that once the 12-to-24 hour curing cycle is complete, the bond remains permanent and durable under standard operating temperatures up to 50°C.

More Information

Application Instructions

  1. Ensure both surfaces to be bonded are clean, dry, and free from any grease, oil, or dust.
  2. Shake the aerosol container thoroughly before application.
  3. Apply a light, fine, and even coating to both surfaces from a distance of 25cm to 30cm.
  4. Wait approximately 30 seconds for the adhesive to become tack-dry. Not that heavier applications may prolong this tack time.
  5. Join the surfaces together accurately and apply firm pressure to secure the bond.
  6. After use, invert the can and spray for a short burst to clear the nozzle and prevent future blockages.
