Ambersil MP 100 is a versatile, fast-drying spray adhesive designed for applications requiring immediate contact bonding. Formulated with a high-performance Styrene Butadiene Rubber (SBR) polymer, it provides a thick, gelatinous film that ensures high initial grab and permanent adhesion. It is engineered to bond almost any material to hard surfaces, making it an essential tool for shop fitting, flooring installation, and general industrial maintenance.

Precision Application Control

To ensure maximum efficiency and minimal waste, MP 100 features a variable actuator. This allows the user to adjust the spray pattern and discharge rate, accommodating both narrow components and large surface areas. The aerosol delivery system provides a consistent 1.4g/sec discharge rate, ensuring uniform coverage that prevents "pooling" or uneven bond lines, which can compromise the integrity of the finished assembly.

Extensive Substrate Versatility

The original formulation of MP 100 is optimised for a diverse array of materials. It is particularly effective for securing carpets and flooring, bonding insulation materials, and adhering canvas, leather, or paper to rigid backings like wood and metal. Its ability to create high-strength bonds on concrete and chipboard makes it highly suitable for construction and upholstery sectors.

Reliable Thermal and Chemical Stability

Once the solvent has evaporated and the bond is cured, the adhesive film remains stable in temperatures up to 50°C. The dried film is completely insoluble in water, providing moisture resistance for bonds in humid environments. For cleaning and maintenance, the adhesive remains soluble in specific hydrocarbon solvents such as Amberklene FE10, allowing for the easy removal of overspray from metal tools and surfaces.

Application Instructions

  1. Ensure all surfaces are clean, degreased, and dry.
  2. Conduct a compatibility test on a small area if applying to plastics, as the solvent base may affect certain sensitive materials.
  3. Shake the aerosol can vigorously before use.
  4. Apply a uniform coating to both surfaces to be bonded from a distance of 25 cm to 30 cm.
  5. Wait approximately 30 seconds for the adhesive to become tack-dry.
  6. Align the components accurately and join the surfaces together using firm, even pressure to ensure maximum contact.
  7. After application, invert the can and spray for a brief period to clear the actuator nozzle and prevent blockages.
  8. Allow 12 to 24 hours for the bond to reach full structural strength.
