It is designed to significantly extend re-lubrication intervals, reducing maintenance downtime in both non-arduous and arduous working conditions. The lithium-calcium multi-complex thickener ensures the grease maintains its consistency and structural integrity under high shear and heavy mechanical stress, providing a reliable lubricating film where standard greases may fail.

Superior Load-Bearing Performance

This high-performance bearing grease is specifically developed for high-load environments. With a Shell Four Ball weld load of 800kg and a Mean Hertz Load of 125 kg, it offers unrivalled protection for surfaces subjected to extreme pressure. These characteristics, combined with a Timken OK load of 25 kg (55 lbs), make it an ideal choice for the most demanding industrial applications, effectively promoting long component life by preventing metal-to-metal contact and surface galling.

Environmental and Chemical Resistance

Ambergrease EXL demonstrates excellent water resistance, with a water washout rate of less then 2% at 79°C. This ensures that the lubricant remains in place even in environments prone to moisture ingress or direct water contact. Furthermore, integrated anti-corrosion agents provide a dynamic corrosion resistance rating of 0:0 (IP 220), protecting precision bearings and sliding surfaces from rust and oxidation. Its compatibility is further verified by the Ford Tox. Number 196056, highlighting its suitability for rigorous automotive and industrial standards.

Versatile Industrial Application

As a versatile NLGI 2 grease, Ambergrease EXL is suitable for all types of anti-friction bearings, plain bearings, and sliding surfaces. Its highly visible red colour allows for easy identification and verification of lubricant presence during routine maintenance inspections. The grease is compatible with a variety of delivery methods, including manual application, standard grease guns, and centralised lubrication systems, provided the system parameters account for the product's high solids content.

Application Instructions

  1. Clean the application area or bearing housing to remove old lubricant and contaminants.
  2. Apply Ambergrease EXL manually using a spatula or clean gloved hand for open surfaces.
  3. For enclosed bearings, use a standard grease gun with a 400g cartridge to inject the grease into the nipple until required fill is achieved.
  4. If using a centralised lubrication system, ensure it is rated for pumping NLGI No. 2 grease.
  5. Note: For automated systems, ensure delivery pipes are at least 12 mm in diameter to accommodate the high solids content of the formulation.
  6. Monitor the operational temperature to ensure it remains within the -30°C to 150°C range for optimal performance.
