Ambersil Alu Hi-Temp is a specialised, high-temperature stable aluminium coating engineered for industrial equipment subjected to continuous heat stress. Formulated with advanced silicone resins and high-purity non-leafing aluminium pigments, it creates a robust finish that maintains integrity at temperatures up to 600°C. Unlike standard paints, Alu Hi-Temp is designed to resist burning, chipping, or peeling even under thermal cycling conditions. This makes it an essential protective coating for furnace doors, boiler casings, and foundry equipment where conventional coatings would fail.
Advanced Corrosion Protection
Beyond its thermal properties, this coating serves as an effective barrier against oxidation and corrosion. It is particularly suited for harsh environments such as chimneys, flues, and exhaust manifolds, where metal surfaces are vulnerable to atmospheric degradation at high temperatures. The product provides excellent coverage and weather stability, ensuring long-term protection of assets. While it is quick-drying at room temperature for ease of handling, the final cure is achieved through heat exposure, which fuses the coating into a highly durable, permanent protective layer.
Professional Application and Safety
The formulation is entirely free from chlorinated solvents, aromatic solvents, lead, and chromates, aligning with modern health and safety requirements for industrial maintenance. It utilises a Dimethylether (DME) propellant, which provides a controlled, even spray pattern for optimum film properties and a consistent matt aluminium finish. The coating exhibits excellent adhesion on steel and remains flexible even after heating to 600°C, preventing cracks that could lead to sub-film corrosion.

Application Instructions
- Ensure the equipment is de-energised and the surface is clean, dry, and degreased.
- Remove all loose rust and scale using a wire brush or abrasive media before application.
- Shake the aerosol can vigorously for at least one minute after the agitator ball is heard moving freely.
- Apply in light, even coats from a distance of 25-30c cm; applying two light coats (15-30 minutes apart) is preferable to one heavy coat.
- Allow the coating to air dry; it will be touch-dry in approximately 15 minutes.
- To achieve a full cure, heat the treated part to 200°C for 60 minutes or 250°C for 45 minutes during its initial use.
- After use, clear the valve by inverting the can and spraying until only propellant escapes.
