Ambersil AGL 1 is a specialised greaseless lubricant designed to protect and restore electrical and electronic equipment. It functions by displacing water and moisture from surfaces, creating a stable, low surface tension barrier that prevents corrosion. This makes it an ideal solution for renovating water-damaged motors and equipment, as it penetrates under dirt, scale, and existing corrosion to reach the substrate. By sealing out humidity and condensation, it eliminates the primary causes of electronic failure in challenging environments.

Precision Dielectric Lubrication

The formula leaves behind a thin, high-performance lubricating film with a thickness of approximately 2μm. This film possesses high dielectric strength, ensuring that it provides necessary lubrication without interfering with the electrical characteristics of the components. By reducing current leakage, AGL 1 helps restore original resistance values in circuits and connectors. The greaseless nature of the lubricant prevents the accumulation of dust and debris, which is critical for the long-term reliability of sensitive instruments and communication assemblies.

Application Instructions

  1. Ensure the equipment is de-energised before application; do not use on live electrical circuits.
  2. For surface protection, spray a light, even coat over the target area to seal out moisture.
  3. To loosen rusted or seized components, apply the product liberally and allow several hours for full penetration into the pores and cracks.
  4. To displace water from wet surfaces, spray until the run-off is clear and free of visible moisture.
  5. For water-damaged equipment, if possible, submerge the component in an AGL 1 dipping bath and agitate; remove and allow to drain.
  6. Allow all solvents to evaporate completely before re-energising the equipment. This process may take up to 4 hours depending on environmental conditions and surface complexity.
