Detailed Product Information

RX-90 Red Oxide Anti-Rust Primer is a fast drying protective coating for use on all metal
surfaces. The modified alkyd resin binder and anti-corrosion pigments present protect
against rust and provide an additional anti-corrosion layer for subsequent topcoats.
RX-90 exhibits strong adhesion on degreased, bare metal surfaces and is paintable with all
one-component paints after 1 hour. RX-90 can be welded through.

Application Instructions

  • Use in a well ventilated area.
  • Remove any rust and scale with a wire brush.
  • Ensure that the surface to be coated is clean, dry, and free from grease.
  • RX-90 now has a safety ring under the button that must be levered out using a flat-headed screwdriver.
  • RX-90 contains solids which settle during storage. Shake the can vigorously until the agitator ball is free and continue shaking for a further minute.
  • Shake the can periodically during application.
  • Apply in light, even coats from approximately 20 cm - best results are obtained by 2 light coats rather than one heavy coat.
  • Additional coats can be applied after 15 - 20 minutes.
  • When spraying is finished, clean the aerosol valve by turning the can upside down and spray until only propellant escapes.
  • Do not use on energised equipment.
