Pre-clean the rusted item if dirty or oily. Remove loose dirt, grease, or heavy contamination with a brush or cloth—light washing is sufficient.

Rinse the item thoroughly with water. Remove surface dirt and soap residue; the item should be damp but not dripping.

Completely immerse the item in Evaporust. Ensure full submersion in the solution—no part of the rusted surface should remain exposed to air.

Allow adequate soaking time based on rust severity. Light surface rust may require 6 hours; moderate rust requires 12–18 hours; heavy or deeply pitted rust requires 24+ hours.

Monitor progress during soaking. Check the item periodically (typically every 6–12 hours) to assess rust removal progress.

Extend soaking time for stubborn corrosion. If rust remains after the initial soak period, leave the item submerged for additional time—Evaporust continues working throughout extended soaking.

Remove the item once rust is dissolved. Once rust has been removed and the surface is clean, remove the item from the solution.

Rinse the item thoroughly with water. Rinse away Evaporust residue and loosened rust particles until water runs clear.

Dry the item completely. Use compressed air, towels, or heat to dry the item rapidly—moisture promotes flash rusting on bare metal.

Apply protective coating immediately. Once dry, apply protective coating—anti-corrosion spray, paint, or other protective finish—to prevent renewed corrosion.

Store Evaporust for future use. Once the item is removed, Evaporust remains effective for additional applications; store in a sealed container.

Dispose of Evaporust responsibly. Once Evaporust can no longer effectively remove rust (after extended reuse), dispose according to local regulations—the biodegradable formulation is environmentally responsible.
