High-Performance SH .25 Nitro Engine

At the core of the Barbarian NXL is the powerful SH .25 nitro engine, manufactured in Taiwan and engineered for exceptional output. This large-displacement .25 powerplant provides brutal acceleration and strong mid-range performance ideally suited to the weight and size of a 1/8 monster truck.

It is paired with a polished aluminium tuned exhaust pipe, designed to optimise back pressure, increase torque band width, and improve throttle response. Together, the engine and exhaust system allow the NXL to deliver thrilling performance across dirt, gravel, and rough terrain.

6061-T6 Aluminium Chassis and Reinforced Structure

The truck is built on a lightweight yet incredibly strong 6061-T6 grade aluminium chassis, precision-milled with countersunk screws for a flush underside. This aids ground clearance while protecting screw heads during impacts or landings.

The chassis follows a narrow centralised layout, improving weight distribution, steering response, and agility. The robust front bumper is designed to flex backwards on impact, helping prevent chassis distortion, and reducing damage when landing jumps.

Ultra-Compact Central Gearbox with Steel Gears

A newly engineered ultra-compact central gearbox forms the heart of the drivetrain. This gearbox contains steel gears for maximum durability and features a third central differential, providing smoother power transfer and significantly improved traction and cornering performance. The gearbox is built with a low-centre-of-gravity design, supporting stable high=speed operation and efficient handling characteristics even during aggressive driving.

Advanced Suspension System with Huge Big-Bore Shocks

The Barbarian NXL is fitted with enormous 16mm aluminium big-bore oil shocks, delivering industry-leading damping performance. These shocks absorb harsh landings and rough bumps with ease, ensuring stability at high speeds.

Mounted on reinforced aluminium shock towers, the suspension system offers:

• Adjustable shock angles.
• Adjustable tension.
• Twin rear suspension configurations (flexible vs. smooth mode).

This level of adjustability enables the truck to be tuned for various terrains, from tarmac to loose gravel or rugged off-road courses.

High-Torque Steering Servo and Tunable Linkages

A metal-geared high-torque steering servo ensures precise directional control even under heavy load, providing confidence-inspiring steering feedback.
