  4. Select appropriate blue finishing pad — Use a blue finishing pad (colour-coded to match this ultra-fine polish) or other fine finishing pad engineered for ultra-fine polish application.
  5. Attach pad to backing plate — Secure the pad to the 3M Perfect-It backing plate on your rotary or dual-action polisher.
  6. Apply polish sparingly — Ultra-fine polish requires minimal product. Apply a small amount to the pad — less is optimal and prevents excess sling.
  7. Spread at low speed — Start the polisher at low speed to distribute the polish evenly across the work area.
