  3. Shake the bottle thoroughly — Mix Fine Compound completely to ensure uniform consistency and optimal abrasive distribution.
  4. Select black compounding pad — Use a black pad (colour-coded for fine compounding) or other appropriate fine-grade compounding pad.
  5. Attach pad to backing plate — Secure the black pad to the 3M Perfect-It backing plate on your rotary or dual-action polisher.
  6. Apply compound conservatively — Apply a small amount of Fine Compound to the pad. The fast-acting formula is effective with minimal product.
  7. Spread at low speed — Start the polisher at low speed to distribute the compound evenly across the work area.
