Assess the contamination and surface type. Determine the type and severity of dirt, grease, or adhesive requiring removal, and confirm the surface can withstand the cleaner.

Ensure adequate ventilation. Work in well-ventilated areas or outdoors; citrus-based solvents still produce vapours requiring air circulation.

Shake the container well. Mix the cleaner thoroughly by shaking for 10–15 seconds if using aerosol format.

Apply the cleaner directly to the contaminated area. Spray or pour the cleaner onto the dirt, grease, or adhesive requiring removal—saturation is key for effectiveness.

Allow brief dwell time. Let the cleaner work for 30–60 seconds, allowing the citrus chemistry to penetrate and dissolve the contamination.

Agitate if necessary. For stubborn deposits, use a soft brush or cloth to gently work the cleaner into the contamination, breaking it up without surface damage.

Wipe away with shop towels. Use standard shop towels or rags to wipe away the dissolved contaminants and cleaner residue.

Repeat if necessary. For heavy contamination, repeat the spray-and-wipe process until all visible dirt and grease are removed.

Final wipe with dry towel. Once contamination is removed, use a dry shop towel to wipe away any remaining cleaner residue.

Allow evaporation. Allow any remaining moisture to evaporate before proceeding with maintenance, repair, or adhesive application work.
