Application Instructions

  1. Prepare the surface — Clean the surface to be masked with appropriate cleaners for the material type. Remove dust, dirt, and any loose material that could prevent proper adhesion.
  2. Unroll and position the tape — Unroll a section of tape and position it along the masking line. For straight edges, measure or mark the line first with a pencil for alignment.
  3. Press firmly along the edge — Run your finger or a tool along the entire length of the tape to ensure firm adhesion, paying special attention to the edges where paint adhesion could occur.
  4. Apply paint — Paint up to and along the edge of the tape. Paint can overlap slightly onto the tape without affecting removal.
  5. Remove while paint is still tacky — For best results, remove the tape while paint is still slightly tacky rather than fully dried. This reduces the risk of paint peeling with the tape.
  6. Peel at 45-degree angle — Slowly peel the tape back at a 45-degree angle to the surface to avoid pulling off paint or damaging the underlying surface.
  7. Inspect the paint line — Check the masked edge for any paint seepage or areas requiring touch-up.
