A super-soft, deep pile wash mitt, but lighter in colouring than the original long haired wookie version. Best used with larger buckets due to its thirst. Supplied with care and maintenance instructions.

How to Use

Before use, brush or comb the mitt using a pet comb or brush. Due to the mitt being made from genuine sheepskin, grass seed and other debris may be found attached to the wool strands, possibly deep within the pile. Therefore you must comb the mitt before using. Some moulting may occur during initial usage – and even during combing. Also, when using the mitt please be careful to avoid sharp part of trim (like grilles and panel edges) that may pull strands of wool from the wash mitt. Natural mitts are warranted for days from date of purchase and should be inspected before use. 

Care & Maintenance

Expect 6 months to 1 year as an average life span. It may last up to 3 – 4 years but please treat it as a wear item and not a mitt for life. 

NEVER MACHINE WASH OR TUMBLE DRY

Mitts need to be rinsed in plain water after use, by hand, or using a mild wool detergent. Allow to partially dry with the cuff propped open to enable air to circulate inside the mitt. Avoid extremes of heat like radiators, airing cupboards and tumble driers. MITTS SHOULD NEVER FULLY DRY OUT. Never leave Mitts submersed in water. Mitts should never be kept soaking in a bucket (they will rot). Their best storage state is “semi-dry” Some owners decide to store their mitts in ziplock bags when the mitts are almost dry.

Regular use keeps Mitts alive. Use your mitt every 2-3 weeks. If it becomes fully dry the wool may moult or the stitching may fail. Mitt’s should be brushed gently after every use to keep them free from debris.
