Würth Crepe Masking Tape is designed for high-quality masking tasks in both automotive refinishing and general painting environments. Its crepe paper backing provides flexibility and easy handling, allowing precise edge masking on smooth and contoured surfaces alike.

High Temperature Resistance

The tape withstands temperatures of up to +80°C, enabling its use during oven-drying or infrared drying processes commonly found in vehicle paint shops. This makes it ideal for multi-stage paint applications where consistent adhesion and easy removal are critical.

Superior Adhesion and Clean Removal

Formulated with a natural rubber adhesive, the tape provides strong initial tack and reliable adhesion to metal, glass, painted surfaces, chrome, and rubber components. After use, it can be removed cleanly without leaving adhesive residue - provided it is taken off immediately after the coating has dried - helping maintain a professional finish with minimal rework.

Resistance to Moisture and Solvents

The rape's backing and adhesive system offer excellent resistance to moisture and solvent exposure. It performs reliably with all standard paint, varnish, and lacquer systems, and is suitable for use in wet sanding operations without degradation or edge lifting.

Professional and Industrial Use

This masking tape is optimised for indoor use, ensuring precise masking in controlled environments such as automotive body shops, paint booths, and industrial workshops. It provides consistent results and predictable performance under varying application conditions.

Important Usage Notice

To maintain performance integrity, the tape should not be used outdoors as it is not UV-resistant. Always remove immediately after drying to avoid residue formation.

Application Instructions

  1. Ensure the surface is dry, clean, and free from dust, oil, solvents, and other contaminants.
  2. Unroll the tape smoothly and apply with firm pressure along the area to be masked.
  3. Make sure all edges are sealed to prevent paint bleed.
  4. Proceed with painting or coating operations as normal.
  5. After the paint or varnish has dried, remove the tape immediately at a 45° angle for a clean edge and residue-free finish.

Usage Notes

  • Apply and store within 5°C to 40°C for optimal performance.
  • Heat resistance up to 80°C.
  • Not suitable for outdoor use - not UV-resistant.
  • Shelf life of 12 months when stored at 20°C and 50% relative humidity.

In-Store pickup is available on all purchase. Pickups are available Monday - Friday between the hours of 9:00–17:00.

We offer free Standard (2-3 Days) shipping on orders within the United Kingdom on orders over £100. Please note, some large items that require specialist courier companies, such as large mirrors and palleted items are excluded from this deal.
